What a challenge I have had coming to the blog and trying to decide what to share. I think just to write that one statement I backspaced at least 3 times.
I am learning in our class. That is why I am here! I have a great deal of energy and much like our nice retriever named, Boy (yes, Boy) I have to walk it off or I drive everyone around me alittle crazy.
I discovered that I do follow a process for lesson plans but it is one of those things that I do automatically and when I tried to break it down I laughed. Guess what? In this area I am unconsciously competent. :)
Karen and I spoke about the class I will facilitate and I brought up this energy that I try to contain. She encouraged me to be authentic. It was an Ah Ha moment. Desiree authentic is basically happy, talkative, high energy, wanting to serve, and desires the chance to have her hands in many things all at the same time. I use to think that my past employers continuously promoted me because they were trying to get rid of me through burn out. Now that I have been on my own I recognize I am the TaskMaster. Which is the name of my pratice. Now I remember why, I am one.
In one of the blogs that I read today it was mentioned that before facilitating her UAC class she did some prepartory work. I just simply loved that she did it and shared it. It really gave me food for thought.
Is this enough of my thoughts? I do understand the assignments and materials presented so far. I look forward to every one of our meetings and feel really happy that we have all come to be together.

It’s snowing and I am here working on my lesson plan. My heart races as I think about all that the students might want to know. One hour? Gee, doesn’t see right, does it? I did notice something while working on this lesson plan. When I close my eyes I can hear JoAnne W. as she probed our minds and experiences. When I came to her class I ALWAYS had a piece of paper because I knew we would be creating lists and I would type them up later and add them to my HOW TO file. And yes, I use that file which has been created mostly by my experiences with JoAnne and Isabelle. Funny, at the time I just wanted to be prepared. Today, I am looking back and seeing that they had clear objectives and I learned them. I want to do that too. I want my students to feel the time they spent with me was important for their growth as coaches!

Wow, Desiree, beautiful page! You are an expert already!!
I was so thrilled to be graduating with you on Friday. You have talent galore punctuated by your high energy and happy, bubbly disposition. I am thrilled you are on the enrollment team for ICA. My daughter will eventually take a coach training program. If she choses to investigate ICA, would you be the one to introduce her to it?
Thanks also for being my partner in the warm up exercise. I feel very fortunate to have worked with you.
To your great success,
Jo Ann
